Sidebar news feed not updating

When you click on it, the full sidebar menu is displayed to you along with all the links that used to be displayed permanently on the left on You Tube.

This includes Playlists and Subscriptions, as well as links to watch later, your history or your channel.

I'm well aware that multiple users are having this issue and have sent off three emails thus far requesting some form of technical support, and nothing such far.

I have Windows Vista on a Dell Inspiron 1720, and my news feed headlines on the Windows sidebar have not updated since April 29.

I also found the following article on groovypost.com: I believe that since there is no more actual website, feeds from there is a dead link which is why the gadget won't update-- it's not receiving anything new from a website that doesn't exist anymore as the gadget thinks it does.

So I went to the new website, added it to my favorites in IE (instead of Firefox), and subscribed to its RSS service.

At the same time, MIcrosoft's website no longer hosts or supports gadgets.

At the end of June, the MSNBC News Feed in my Windows Sidebar stopped updating. When I added it back, it polled the latest articles but hasn't updated since then (although, again, the articles in Outlook's RSS Feeds section are updating correctly).

I still see the 100 headlines leading up to the end of June 30th, but nothing new. Hi A suggestion would be to remove the feed from your sidebar list and add it back in. Whatever was causing the problem must have been on their side.

If you have visited You Tube today, or have been part of the beta test of the new site layout, then you have probably noticed that quite a few things have changed on the popular video hosting platform.

The two major changes of the new layout are that the sidebar menu is not displayed permanently on the left anymore, and that the layout is now centered and not aligned to the left site anymore.
